Visit of an associated professor from China

Visit of Dr. Dong Fang from Southeast University in China. He will come in the context of CASES project during the period 13-16 of May.
Dr. DONG' research interests largely lie in the areas of big data and cloud computing.
Dr. DONG Fang is currently a lecturer at Southeast University (in China), the Secretary-General of ACM Nanjing chapter and member of Grid and Service Computing Committee of Jiangsu Computer Society. He received bachelor and master degree from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China in June 2004 and 2006 and PhD degree from Southeast University, China in Mar. 2011, and then stayed to teach after graduation and work in Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Network & Information Security. Dr. DONG’ research interests largely lie in the areas of big data and cloud computing. He has been responsible for Youth Science Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China and completed many national projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Technologies R & D Program of China etc. He also has participated in the international project of physics experiment "Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS)" led by Nobel Prize winner, Prof. Samuel C. C. Ting and been responsible for establishment of Southeast university cloud computing center and Scientific Operation Center/ Scientific data processing center for AMS (AMS-SOC). Dr. DONG has published more than 20 research papers on the core domestic and international journals (e.g. Future Generation Computer Systems, Cluster Computing, Wireless Communication and Mobile Computing etc.) and conference proceedings (e.g. HPCC、ICPP、DASFAA、GlobeCom、CCGrid etc.). Besides, he has served as the invited reviewer for international journals (cited by SCI), such as Journal of Supercomputing, Cluster Computing ect.
